WHAT IS MAJOR SEVENTH?
A Major Seventh is a musical chord, one semi-tone below the perfect harmony: the Octave. The subtle dissonance embodied by this unique musical construct initiates the musical movement.
The Major Seventh does not symbolise the quest of perfection but the tiny loss of balance, this slight momentum, that creates the movement…
This is where belongs the heart and soul of the story :
Moving forward… whatever it takes.

HYBRID APPOACH
Hybrid approach
“Major Seventh” is based on an inspiring true story. The signature of the film is its hybrid approach and visual treatment, merging “Animé” style, 3-D animation and live performance.
Jeremy and Smith belong to their own worlds, but work together for a single goal: to avoid Jeremy’s brain from a total collapse. Smith is Jeremy’s survival instinct. He creates a maze world, made of Jeremy’s compound memories. This world is the last territory for Smith to defend and the last chance for Jeremy to survive.
“Major Seventh”’ project is a hybrid visual experience, merging live performance, 3D animation and Animé style, also using the latest Virtual Production technologies.
Top-notch digital technology
Using Virtual Production, Bruno de Champris (Director) wants to position the project into the perspective of the best actual cinema technology. Volumetric circular LED Walls, 3D real time Digital Content and tracking camera systems replace traditional green screens.
The new era of cinema shooting starts now and the Major Seventh project is part of it!
On the recent productions, 40% of the film industry (International feature films & series) already stepped into Virtual production - as a powerful, limitless and sustainable solution.
Bruno, as a film director working with VFX and image technology for more than 3 decades, set up the first Virtual Production studios in Middle East region and has become part of the major actors in this domain.
Major Seventh’s vision is definitely to move the project towards the future of the cinema industry, using virtual production as one main asset to enhance the storyline and the visual treatment of the film.
“Movie-making is telling a story with the best technology at your disposal.”
- Tom Hanks -
